Description

As a Safari clad storyteller, Margaret performs the popular children's book, Stand Back Said the Elephant I'm Going to Sneeze. Using her brilliant puppetry and ventriloquism skills, this book will come to life as various animal puppets tell the rhyming tale. Additional information involving endangered species, reasons animals become endangered and interesting animal facts about animals all around the world will be learned. Children will learn what a habitat is and why animals may become extinct. Ages PK-3rd.

Students Will

  • be encouraged to explore other books (especially non-fiction) in the library about wild animals.
  • learn and recall many interesting facts about a variety of animals from all around the world.

  • see and hear a rhyming story "Stand Back Said the Elephant I'm Going to Sneeze" be told by a professional storyteller with puppets and ventriloquism.
  • learn concepts such as natural and unnatural habitat and endangered species as well as the 5 reasons animals can become extinct.

School Fee: Live on Campus: 2-45 minute programs $525 (half day) or 4 or 5-45 minute programs (full day) $950, or 1-45 minute after school program for $325
Minimum Attendance: 25
Maximum Attendance: 150

Technical Needs: Electrical outlet, chair, and the stage pre-cleared and stage lights turned on prior to performer's arrival.

Technical needs: Electrical outlet 15-20 feet from the performance area. If we are using the stage it should be reserved for our use 1 hour before performance time and 30 minutes afterward. The stage should be pre-cleared no later than 1 hour before show time. Stage lights turned on 1 hour prior to performance.

Deadline: 2 weeks before show date.
Cancellation Policy: Bookings may be cancelled up to two (2) calendar weeks before performance without penalty. Bookings cancelled within two (2) calendar weeks of performance but up to one (1) calendar week before performance may be rescheduled as artist's bookings allow. Bookings cancelled within one (1) calendar week of performance will require balanced paid in full and rescheduling is at artist's discretion.
After School Policy: Teachers are required to remain in room during performance. Artist will discuss and define the seating area and performance area prior to start of performance. Photographs are permitted as well as short video clips. Please tag us on Facebook at: Margaret A. Clauder.
