Description

We often think of mirrors as surfaces for reflecting images back to us. But what if mirrors could help us see the space around us in a new ways? Mirror Me is a hands-on photographic project emphasizing an engagement with our immediate surroundings while learning camera technique and expressing personal vision. Young artists use instant and digital cameras and natural and manmade reflective surfaces to produce abstract or realistic photographs. The sky is the limit for this fun exploration! All supplies provided.

  • Understand art technique as particularly related to the medium of photography.
  • Literacy Connection: The Art Book for Children, Book Two by Amanda Renshaw ISBN: 978-0714847061
  • Understand reflection of light and use a reflective surface to make discoveries.
  • Apply learned camera techniques; engage in the process of making ART by creating several photographic works; present a photograph of their choosing to an audience.
