Description

CURTAINS UP ON READING RESIDENCY: A Multi-Sensory Unit of Study. By linking line to the study of mythical and historical heroes, students begin to connect with time (past, present, and future), story (literary, plot), and chronology (beginning, middle, and end). The concept of line heightens their understanding of fantasy and reality, history, writing, geography and other skills when multi-sensory learning is applied. Students can learn how Greek, Norse, African, and Hispanic mythologies transcend into modern day civilization. DCT has developed and perfected this unique curriculum and creative teaching approach over several years.

Students Will

  • Act out stories and literature of Mythology and Ancient Civilizations through this innovative multi-sensory approach.
  • Work with a professional theater artist to take ownership of classroom lessons and be excited about learning.
  • Plays from Mythology by L.E. McCullough ISBN #1-57525-110-8
