Description

HANDS ON WORKSHOP at the Museum of Geometric & MADI Art - students learn the role of geometry in art. Students are given colored paper, strips and geometric shapes. They arrange the shapes and strips into a non-representational design using the principles of design, color, form, line, space, balance and rhythm in art. It is possible for the design to be manipulated into a structure, depending on the ability and age of the student. They glue the forms to a base. They now have created a work of art in the Geometric and MADI medium. The student is the artist and can take his/her work home. Depending on the workshop leader, there may be other activities substituted.
