Description

Students are introduced to the physics of aerodynamics and learn about the four forces of flight through this hands-on and interactive program. They apply their newly gained knowledge by building and testing different paper air crafts.

Students Will

  • learn the four main forces of flight
  • explore how lift is generated
  • fold and fly paper aircraft and analyze the four forces effects on the different aircrafts

Dates: Available Monday – Friday
Times: 9am - 4pm
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes
School Fee: Classroom=$75/program (35 students max); Auditorium=$110/program (80 students max)
Minimum Attendance: 10

Technical Needs: Tables or desks for folding airplanes; large area to fly airplanes
Other Information: Students apply the physics of aerodynamics and learn about the four forces of flight through this interactive program. They will then use their newly-gained knowledge to build and test different paper aircraft.

Scheduling / Booking

Instructions: Please choose either the Field Trip or Outreach Program Request Form and request your reservation online at https://www.flightmuseum.com/education/. Deadline: Submit and online request form (https://www.flightmuseum.com/education-programs/) at least two weeks prior to the requested date
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation Policy: A non refundable deposit or an Arts Partners voucher and approval code is due within 10 days of booking your program. Your remaining balance is due two weeks before your confirmed visit date. A program is confirmed when you receive your confirmation e-mail. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent the program from taking place as scheduled, the Frontiers of Flight Museum will work with you to reschedule. Changing dates for a program can be made with sufficient advance notice (prior to 48 hours of the confirmed date) and we will make every effort to reschedule your program to an alternate date. No refunds will be given for absent students. All programs will begin promptly at the time scheduled. Cancellation of the program after confirmation is subject to full payment.
