Description

Step back in time to find out how civil rights demonstrators prepared for their roles, from what to wear and say to how to act if arrested. Discover the story behind Dallas' most prominent 1964 civil rights demonstration and how the Civil Rights Movement in the city was different from what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and others experienced in different parts of the South. This program can be done before or after your audio guided tour of the Museum's permanent exhibition "John F. Kennedy and the Memory of a Nation".

  • Study the political, social mood of Dallas in the 1960s.
