Standards

Description
Create and perform music and rhythm pieces using only the human body and voice as the total instrument. Learn the history of vocal percussion and body percussion. No music or dance training required. 6 weeks residency , 2 weeks vocal percussion and 2 weeks body percussion , 1 week combination, 1 week presentation.

Students Will
  • Learn about this art-form by viewing videos about the history of vocal percussion and body percussion.
  • Learn body percussion movements.
  • Learn vocal percussion technique
  • Work together to create and present a choreographed vocal and body percussion routine

Dates: August 2018 - August 2019
Times: Monday-Wednesday-Friday = 10:00 -5:30 pm, Saturday = 10 am – 7pm, Sunday = 1pm-7pm
Duration: 60 minutes each sessions @ 6 sessions
School Fee: Flat Rate: $900.00
Minimum Attendance: 20
Maximum Attendance: 100
Bilingual: No
Technical Needs: PA system, microphones, mic stands, wood stage/floor, large space to move around,
Other Information: excellent pre course for dance,theater and music students, includes teachers and aids

Deadline: for booking is 2 weeks notice
Cancellation Policy: All booked programs are confirmed when you receive your contract from Rochelle Rabouin by email. Should illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program from taking place as scheduled, ROCHELLE RABOUIN / BOITUMELO will offer the option of rescheduling. Programs canceled by the school or venue after confirmation are subject to full payment.
After School Policy: A teacher (s) or after school employee (s) must remain with class at all times.
