Description

Carnegie Hall's innovative Link Up curriculum delivers an exhilerating, interactive concert experience. Your students will learn how composers and musicians use rhythm to propel musical works. Includes hands-on activities and an opportunity to play along with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra on recorders or strings. Teaching artists are available to help prepare students for the play-along portions of the concert. Contact Sarah Hatler at [email protected] for more information.

Students Will

  • learn how to read music, play the recorder and sing together.
  • experience a wide range of musical sounds and styles.
  • learn how to actively listen and practice concert etiquette.
  • learn about each instrument family.
  • learn how to recognize rhythms and find patterns in musical pieces.
  • learn how to create their own musical compositions.

Deadline: Reservations must be made before your Arts Partners Voucher expires. Subject to availability.
Cancellation Policy: Programs and dates are subject to change. No refunds in the case of cancellations or absences. However, rescheduling is possible. Cancellations and additions must be received 2 days before the scheduled performance date.
