Description
The award-winning Le Theatre de Marionette performs “Happily Ever After”. Inspired by storybook damsels in distress, heroic princes and desperate dragons, "Happily Ever After" delights and intrigues young audiences with its variety of familiar characters like Belle and Beast, Jasmine and Aladdin, and Elsa and Olaf performing to an engaging musical score with one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted puppets built locally in our workshop. Immediately following the performance of "Happily Ever After". This 30-minute variety show is presented in a short-strung or cabaret format featuring visible, black-clad puppeteers who interact with the audience as part of the performance. After the show, students will have a unique educational experience by participating in a live marionette demonstration with our professional puppeteers. Students learn about the job of a puppeteer first-hand as student volunteers take turns performing a series of steps and actually make a marionette walk or fly, show emotions and seemingly "come to life"! Perfect for in-school, after-school or weekend events, and great for a range of ages, "Happily Ever After" can be combined with interactive master classes and residencies designed for a one-of-a-kind learning experience.
