Come explore the amazing lives of insects and learn about the special adaptations of different pollinators! We will explore pollination and the interdependence of insects and plants throughout nature. Program consists of classroom portion and outdoor garden guided tour. Students Will

  • Apply pollinator's preferential color to the different gardens explored.
  • Analyze the interdependence of plants and insects through the process of pollination
  • Link specific structures on pollinators to their function

Dates: Weekdays Please note: Texas Discovery Gardens does not offer onsite programs during the State Fair of Texas (2019 Dates: Sept. 27 - Oct. 20)
Times: Hourly, 10 am - 1 pm
Duration: 55 minutes
School Fee: $6 per student. One free adult for every 10 students. Additional adults $6.
Minimum Attendance: 10
Maximum Attendance: 50
Bilingual: No
Technical Needs: We will be outside! Bring hats and refillable water bottles!
Other Information: Can Accommodate up to 300 Students Per Day, 50-100 per hour. This program cannot be scheduled from September 27 - October 20, 2019.

Scheduling / Booking

Instructions: Please call the Booking Department at 214-428-7476 ext. 343 or email [email protected] to book your visit. Be prepared to provide your contact information, Voucher number, Approval Code, approximate number of students and program selection.
Deadline: Minimum 2 weeks before program date.
Cancellation Policy: Changes to number attending and cost of program may be made two weeks prior to program date. Any remaining balance is due two weeks before your scheduled visit date. If you need for any reason to reschedule your program you must contact the Booking Department at least two weeks before your scheduled visit in order for your deposit/payment to be applied to your new visit date. Rescheduling is available in the event of TDG equipment failures, power failures, school closings by ISD or inclement weather. If in doubt due to weather, please call the Education department to confirm weather conditions at the Gardens. Your program is only guaranteed at the scheduled start time noted in your voucher and TDG Invoice. TDG follows the DISD School Closing decisions for inclement weather. All payments are non-refundable. Refunds are ONLY available in the event of failures on the part of TDG (power outages, equipment malfunctions, etc.). We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but we reserve the right to cancel or adjust program.
