Description
This activity-based box connects students' lives with the lives of people all around the world. With items that serve the same function as items in students' lives but have unique characteristics of their respective cultures, students will be challenged to understand that ultimately we are all very similar even if we seem different. Box includes 20 items from Brazil, Ecuador, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Java, Kenya, Nigeria, Mexico, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, and West Africa.

Dates: Mon - Fri
Times: For staff presentation, 8 - 3; If keeping box, school has it for one week
Duration: If keeping box, 1 week duration

Scheduling / Booking

Deadline: Box needs to be reserved at least one week in advance
Cancellation Policy: You will be charged for the number of people for whom you initially book the tour/Discovery Box unless you notify us of the change 48 hours in advance. If you must cancel your tour/Discovery Box, you must notify us 48 hours in advance. If you do not cancel in the allotted time and you will still be invoiced for the full amount. Exceptions will be made in the case of inclement weather, provided that the school can reschedule.
After School Policy: Tours/Discovery Boxes available from 4-5 p.m. Class size limited and advance notice required.
