Description

What is your story? What do you want your story to be? High School can be scary if you don’t know the power of your personal story. Create~Achieve provides 8th graders with a preview of high school expectations. Why wait to practice the process? Students work with tools that help them navigate uncertainties, set goals, and craft success plans. These experiences cultivate clarity, personal accountability, and focus, enabling students to enjoy a high school experience that fuels the rest of their lives. Included themes 1) You Got People 2) Defang Bullying 3) Ace the Essay 4) Know Your Superpowers (Necessary Supplies: personal class journals & pencil)

Students Will

  • Craft the personal story they desire of their high school experience
  • Understand how to organize and galvanize their support system
  • Review the components included in the college prep process
  • Practice Practical Bullying Prevention
  • Replace uncertainty with a simple action plan that begins with self-awareness

All Animal Encounter pre-recorded Asynchronous programming links will be available for three consecutive school days. Other links vary from 2-3 days. Ask about weekend bookings.

Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract. Should inclement weather or other unforeseen emergency circumstances prevent the program from taking place as scheduled, we will offer the option of rescheduling. All cancellations are subject to full payment. With the exception of unforeseen circumstances, changing the date of a specific session can be made with two weeks' notice and is subject to the availability of the artist.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must be with the students at all times to assist with classroom management. They are also responsible for supervising the students before and after class, walking students to the bus or releasing students to their parents.
