Description

Obtaining food is not always an easy process, and the environment can be fickle as to what it provides. Nevertheless, peoples around the world have come up with many solutions to keep their families and communities fed. This box includes objects that portray that many different ways humans hunt, prepare, store, and gather food. Students will notice many similarities to items in their own lives! Included activities focus on how geography, weather, and the chemical compositions of foods are considered when looking for and preparing foods.

Times: For staff presentation, 8 - 3; If keeping box, school has it for one week

Scheduling / Booking

Deadline: Box needs to be reserved at least one week in advance
Cancellation Policy: You will be charged for the number of people for whom you initially book the tour/Discovery Box unless you notify us of the change 48 hours in advance. If you must cancel your tour/Discovery Box, you must notify us 48 hours in advance. If you do not cancel in the allotted time and you will still be invoiced for the full amount. Exceptions will be made in the case of inclement weather, provided that the school can reschedule.
After School Policy: Tours/Discovery Boxes available from 4-5 p.m. Class size limited and advance notice required.
