Celebrate Latin culture with Margaret Clauder, aka Señorita Margarita! Clad in a traditional Jalisco dress, her show features storytelling, arts and crafts used in many Latino celebrations, puppetry and ventriloquism. Piñatas will be displayed and the origin and making of cascarones (confetti eggs) will be explained. Maria Rosita the puppet helps students learn "La Cucaracha" in a hilarious children’s rendition of the song. Featured in the show is "Martina the Beautiful Cockroach" an old Cuban folktale, La Raspa (the Mexican Hat dance) will be performed. Mariachi Loco, who is a trumpet playing marionette, will bring the house down when his pants fall off!
