Standards

Description

Students push, pull, stretch and sculpt as they make 3-dimensional figures, animals, and objects while learning the importance of observation and interpreting what they see. They will squish and squeeze creative muscles letting their imaginings take shape and form as they exploring air-dry clay that needs no kilns or baking. This hands-on project enhances students learning by providing opportunities for all types of learners in different ways: visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic.

Students Will

  • Create clay projects
  • Create artworks integrating themes found through direct observation, personal experiences, and imagination.
  • Build sequencing skills

Details

Dates: Monday - Friday
Times: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Duration: Four 1-hour sessions - more can be added for a more in-depth experience
School Fee: $600 for 4 days or $150 per class. Minimum of 4 days required.
Minimum Attendance: 5
Maximum Attendance: 30
Bilingual: No
Technical Needs: Students need a table or desk to complete this project.

Scheduling / Booking

Instructions: Book programs by calling 972-822-3027 and/or email [email protected]. All programs taught on campus.
Deadline: Please contact Sheila to schedule within one week of receiving your voucher.
Cancellation Policy: Cancelling two weeks or more prior to scheduled date a full refund less a processing fee of $20 will be refunded. Within 2 weeks, a 50% refund will be returned or apply full fee to a future session. Notification of less than 24 hours has no refund. Cancellations should be made by phone 972-822-3027 AND by email at [email protected]. Should illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program taking place as scheduled, Sheila will offer the option of rescheduling.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must remain with class at all times. Maximum students 30.
