Description

The Art of Science Meets the Science of Art. This Perot Museum self guided tour will engage your students by stimulating their imagination and encouraging their creativity as they visit each of our 11 Exhibit Halls. Students will explore colors, light, lines, movement, shape, space, sound, rhythm and texture via interactive and reflective activities. From creating sounds and movement together, to sketching fossils and gems, to describing the colors, sounds, textures and movement of the Texas dioramas and so much more – they will discover that Science and Art make beautiful music together. The exhibits you may experience are: -MOODY FAMILY CHILDREN’S MUSEUM (ages 5 and under) Please contact reservations to book a time at no additional cost. -LAMAR HUNT FAMILY SPORTS HALL -BEING HUMAN HALL -TEXAS INSTRUMENTS ENGINEERING AND INNOVATION HALL -DISCOVERING LIFE HALL -LYDA HILL GEMS AND MINERAL HALL -THE REES-JONES FOUNDATION DYNAMIC EARTH HALL -TOM HUNT ENERGY HALL -T. Times: 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
Duration: Self Guided
School Fee: $6.00 per student.1 teacher/chaperone free with every 7 students. Extra adults $6.00 each (over the 1:7 ratio).
Minimum Attendance: 10
Maximum Attendance: 500
Bilingual: No
Technical Needs: Various exhibits may be closed due to programming and maintenance.

Please refer to your field trip confirmation materials for important details. Bus Parking is free. Leave lunches on your bus. Single-car parking is available for a fee.

Cancellation Policy: The Perot Museum is pleased to offer Financial Aid to schools who apply and qualify. By applying for this program your fees for digital (synchronous or asynchronous) programs, field trip exhibit visits/programs, and on your campus programs could be reduced or eliminated. Financial Aid: http://www.perotmuseum.org/events-and-programs/school-programs/educator-resources/financial-aid-form.html 2020-2021 Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy: The Perot Museum of Nature and Science- Field Trips and On Your Campus Experiences -A nonrefundable deposit is due within 10 days of booking.Your remaining balance is due 3 weeks before your scheduled visit date. -If you choose to reschedule your program you must contact the reservations department at least 3 weeks before your scheduled visit in order for your deposit/payment to be applied to your new visit date. -Your reservation may be cancelled if your deposit/payment is not received by the due date. -Refunds will only be made in the event of Museum closure, power failures and school closings. NO OTHER REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED
