Description
The award winning Dream Collectors present “Escape from Couch Potato Land” an original musical comedy play that inspires kids to get food fit and healthy. Bo and Gretchen use original songs, dance, story, magic, juggling, comedy, and lots of audience participation to teach kids about the importance of imagination, good nutrition, fun exercise, and a good attitude. They get the kids up singing and dancing!

Students Will
  • learn about the food groups in a healthy, balanced diet (following myplate.gov) through circus skills
  • sing and dance while learning the importance of exercise
  • learn about problem solving through song and dialogue
  • learn about imagination through songs and games
  • learn, through song and dialogue, about how a good attitude affects everything you do
  • experience a live professional musical play
  • interact with actors and fellow audience members

Technical Needs: Clean, cleared stage. Electrical outlet and two armless chairs.

Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when the four digit approval code is given by the school to Fine Arts Chamber Players. Should illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program from taking place as scheduled, Fine Arts Chamber Players will offer the option of rescheduling. Programs canceled by a school or community presenter after confirmation are subject to full payment. Fine Arts Chamber Players does not charge a rescheduling fee.
