Description

Students will learn about physical and behavioral adaptations that enable animals to live in many diverse Texas ecosystems. Students will explore which animals live in their neighborhood and understand the adaptations that allow those animals to survive in their urban backyard! Various taxidermy specimens, skulls, shells, and other objects will be used to engage students in a lively discussion for this program.

  • Discuss animals and their adaptations.
  • Participate in an interactive discussion about animals, environments and niches

Dates: Monday-Friday
Times: 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00
Duration: 50 minutes
School Fee: $7.00 per student/1 chaperone free with every 10 students/extra adults $7.00 each. Fee includes admission into various museum exhibits.
Minimum Attendance: 15
Maximum Attendance: 60
Bilingual: No
Technical Needs: Various exhibit spaces may be closed due to programming and maintenance.
Other Information: Additional adults who have not prepaid their student’s teacher should purchase general admission tickets online or at the box office.Please check-in for your field trip at the former Science Place building, 1318 S. Second Avenue in Fair Park.

Deadline: Please contact reservations at least 2 weeks before your requested date.
Cancellation Policy: The Perot Museum is pleased to offer Financial Aid to schools who apply and qualify. By applying for this program your fees for digital (synchronous or asynchronous) programs, field trip exhibit visits/programs, and on your campus programs could be reduced or eliminated. Financial Aid: http://www.perotmuseum.org/events-and-programs/school-programs/educator-resources/financial-aid-form.html 2020-2021 Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy: The Perot Museum of Nature and Science- Field Trips and On Your Campus Experiences -A nonrefundable deposit is due within 10 days of booking.Your remaining balance is due 3 weeks before your scheduled visit date. -If you choose to reschedule your program you must contact the reservations department at least 3 weeks before your scheduled visit in order for your deposit/payment to be applied to your new visit date. -Your reservation may be cancelled if your deposit/payment is not received by the due date. -Refunds will only be made in the event of Museum closure, power failures and school closings. NO OTHER REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED
