Description

Who are African Americans? How did they get here, and how is their history woven into the building of America, from geography, economics, government, and citizenship? Trace the journey - slavery, emancipation, civil rights, to present-day - through music, storytelling, and audience interaction. Identify early voices of liberation: Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, and Booker T. Washington. Get on the bus with Rosa Parks and experience the incident that led to the Montgomery bus boycott. March and defend nonviolent protests with Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebrate historic, cultural, scientific, business, athletic, and academic accomplishments that move this country forward!
