Standards

Description

It’s a bird, it’s a plane — no, it’s Superhero Science! Students will discover the science behind our favorite superheroes and their amazing powers. The program explores topics such as matter and energy, magnetism and electricity, and properties of light.

Students Will

  • Participate in science demonstrations using saftey equipement
  • Learn the amazing powers of light to reflect, refract and travel through objects.
  • Explore energy, forces and motion, smart materials, magnetism, levitation, x-ray vision, lasers, and properties of light

Details

Dates: Monday - Saturday
Times: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Duration: 45 minutes
School Fee: $375 first program; $175 each additional program (same program, same day)
Minimum Attendance: 10
Maximum Attendance: 250
Bilingual: No
Technical Needs: Auditorium, cafeteria, or gymnasium (no classrooms or libraries). Room must have high ceilings and at least 15’ between the equipment and the audience.
Other Information: Maximum four shows per day. Must be consecutive.

Deadline: Please book at least 3 weeks before your requested date.
Cancellation Policy: The Perot Museum is pleased to offer Financial Aid to schools who apply and qualify. By applying for this program your fees for digital (synchronous or asynchronous) programs, field trip exhibit visits/programs, and on your campus programs could be reduced or eliminated. Financial Aid: http://www.perotmuseum.org/events-and-programs/school-programs/educator-resources/financial-aid-form.html 2020-2021 Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy: The Perot Museum of Nature and Science- Field Trips and On Your Campus Experiences -A nonrefundable deposit is due within 10 days of booking.Your remaining balance is due 3 weeks before your scheduled visit date. -If you choose to reschedule your program you must contact the reservations department at least 3 weeks before your scheduled visit in order for your deposit/payment to be applied to your new visit date. -Your reservation may be cancelled if your deposit/payment is not received by the due date. -Refunds will only be made in the event of Museum closure, power failures and school closings. NO OTHER REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED
