Description

Cara Mía Theatre Company entertains with the smallest mask in the world – the red clown nose! Through physical comedy and highly theatrical sketches, students are acquainted with a classical form of theater – the clown! They will follow the relationship of three gibberish speaking clowns who cant seem to get along but love each other none the less. Student participation is a must in this laugh out loud experience! For grades pre-K through 12. Available year-round Class set of Study Guide material will be provided at location. Digital copy available upon request. Students will develop a concept of self and relations using elements of drama and the conventions of theatre.

Deadline: 2 weeks prior to start date
Cancellation Policy: All residencies and touring performances can be rescheduled with Cara Mía 1 week prior to class start date. However, in the case that a workshop or residency cannot be rescheduled, it can be canceled up to a week (seven days) before the agreed start date. After a week from the start date, Cara Mía requires half of the payment for the workshop or residency in the case of a cancellation. After the start date, Cara Mía requires full payment for the touring workshop or residency. Touring shows can be canceled a week (seven days) before performance. After a week before performance date, Cara Mía requires full payment for a cancellation. Field trip performances to Cara Mía shows are non-refundable regardless of circumstances such as bad weather, difficulty with transportation or scheduling difficulties.

Cara Mia instructors are not allowed to release children to parents. Please inform the Instructors of appropriate arrival and dismissal process. A class session will consist of a maximum of 25 students. A DISD staff member may be required to monitor behavior.
