Description

Everyday Leader is a fun-filled educational program that combines a creative mix of music, magic, puppetry, audience participation and games to reinforce the value of becoming an "everyday leader". It touches on the positive effects and the enjoyment that will come from being a leader amonst your peers. This show is designed to inspire elementary age children to grow into "everyday leaders" at home, school and in the community. The key elements of the program are that LEADERS know how to LEAD and FOLLOW. They Listen to others, set a good example, take responsibility for their actions and DO their very best. In addition, the show reinforces the importance of working together, making good choices and being a good example for others. Dal Sanders delivers a powerful and positive message to children that will help them grow into "everyday leaders" that inspire others to be their best to make the word a better place.

Students Will

  • Learn to be a good leader by: LISTEN - the importance of being a good listener, EXAMPLE - set a good example by setting goals and sticking to it, ACTION - leaders take responsibility for their actions, DO - Do what's right and do your very best
  • Perform a short theatrical skit to show the different aspects of being a good leader
  • Play a game to sum up all of the facts learned
  • Learn from one of their peers, LUCY (a little girl puppet) about overcoming shyness and becoming an everyday leader to make a difference in the lives of others

Times: during school, after school or summer
Duration: 45-50 minutes
School Fee: $525 for the first show and $950 for two shows back to back on the same day
Minimum Attendance: 10

Technical Needs: A 20x20 area or the front of a room just enough to put up a backdrop and props. Also needed is an electrical outlet for a sound system

When calling or emailing, please leave your name, school, phone number, the particular show you wish to have, and the date/time of the program. Technical needs: Electrical outlet 15-20 feet from the performance area. If we are using the stage it should be reserved for our use 1 hour before performance time and 30 minutes afterward. The stage should be pre-cleared no later than 1 hour before show time. Stage lights turned on 1 hour prior to performance.

Deadline: 6/30/2024
Cancellation Policy: Bookings may be cancelled up to two (2) calendar weeks before performance without penalty. Bookings cancelled within two (2) calendar weeks of performance but up to one (1) calendar week before performance may be rescheduled as artist's bookings allow. Bookings cancelled within one (1) calendar week of performance will require balanced paid in full and rescheduling is at artist's discretion.
After School Policy: Teachers are required to remain in room during performance. Artist will discuss and define the seating area and performance area prior to start of performance. Photographs are permitted as well as short video clips. Please tag us on Facebook at: Margaret A. Clauder.
