Standards

Description
Many holiday traditions were formed and brought to Texas in the 19th century. Using specialized History Hunts, students will explore many of these traditions in the historic homes which celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah.

Students Will
  • Learn various holiday traditions from Texas history.
  • Compare past holiday celebrations with those of today.

Deadline: Three weeks in advance
Cancellation Policy: RESCHEDULING: If a field trip needs to be rescheduled, the Arts Partners funding will be transferred to a new date within the current school year. CANCELLATION: You have up to two (2) weeks of your field trip date to cancel. If you cancel within the two (2) week time-frame, your Arts Partners funding will not be returned. NO SHOW: If you do not show up for your scheduled date, your Arts Partners funding will not be returned. TEXAS, OUR TEXAS CANCELLATION: A $50 deposit is required. If you cancel prior to the two (2) week deadline, only the $50 deposit will be taken from your Arts Partners funding. If you cancel less than two (2) weeks, your entire Arts Partners funding will not be returned.
