Description

Make Ice Cream Popsicles in a saute pan!! TAO chefs create recipes that turn food into a science project! This class emphasizes how science is throughout the culinary process and that chefs constantly create ideas based on their science knowledge. We demonstrate how dry ice, baking soda, alum, agar-agar and other science-based foods are created through the use of science knowledge. Students will also learn about coconut oil and its "magical" property of changing its state just because the atmospheric temperature changes.
