Description

By using the supplied kit, students will use the scientific/engineering method to create a robot that will successfully perform a series of tasks in a synchronous workshop. Through trial and error, students will have the robot move on it's own, draw various types of lines and a circle. Simple coding activities will introduce students to the world of programming. The workshop is a great way to introduce the basics of engineering and robotics in a fun, exciting way. Supplies include a simple battery operated motor. We encourage students to take home to share their learning with friends and family. The program is offered by Studio Bella, the #1 rated vendor for DISD Extended Learning Opportunities Department.

Students Will

  • Create a robot that move
  • Test and problem solve on how to have their robot draw different types of lines and shapes
  • be introduced to the basics of coding
  • decorate and name their robot with provided supplies
