Description
Cinde Sanders, AKA Sister Cat, will encourage children to voraciously read the Dr. Seuss series of books through an engaging presentation all in rhyme. This magical theatrical performance will feature an original storybook character, Sister Cat (the sister of the Cat in the Hat) who will recap several of the favorite Dr. Seuss books including: “The Cat in the Hat”, “The Sneeches and Other Stories”, “Horton Hears a Who” and many more. Through the use of a delightful elephant puppet, children will learn valuable life skills such as how to treat others with compassion and sensitivity. Children’s imaginations will be stimulated as they become involved with several quirky theatrical routines and learn to visualize how they might want a future as a writer or illustrator. With the use of movement and rhythmic patterns, children will become sensitive to recognizing word patterns as the Dr. Seuss stories come to life.

Students Will
  • Learn to recognize rhyming words and word patterns.
  • Hear excerpts from several Dr. Seuss books as they relate to character building.
  • Be encouraged to seek out Dr. Seuss books and read them on their own.

Deadline: Must contact and book a minimum of 1 week in advance.
Cancellation Policy: Bookings may be cancelled up to two (2) calendar weeks before performance without penalty. Bookings cancelled within two (2) calendar weeks of performance but up to one (1) calendar week before performance may be rescheduled as artist's bookings allow. Bookings cancelled within one (1) calendar week of performance will require balanced paid in full and rescheduling is at artist's discretion.
