Description

Who are you when faced with a difficult situation? How are you when you’re upset? When you get mad, can you feel the heat rising in your body? Can you feel the frown on your face? Can you feel your body tightening? What does body language say about your thoughts and attitude? *** Your very best friend in the world is a Bully. Do you go along to get along? *** What small steps can you take to resolve a conflict before it takes hold and turns into a raging inferno? *** 'Think Differently' encourages participants to imitate and synthesize life experiences and develop concepts about self and others through dramatic play *** Guided coaching by the artist supports skill-building as participants share, learn, and grow in an interactive environment that honors their feelings and unleashes their thinking!

Students Will

  • Make the correlation that Thinking Differently is a way of celebrating our uniqueness
  • Discuss and role-play the relationship between choices and consequences
  • Practice Conflict Resolution & Problem Solving through moment-to-moment awareness
  • Interact cooperatively with others in brief dramatizations
  • React to sensory and emotional experiences such as sight or sound and happiness or sadness through creative play;
  • Describe characters, their relationships, and their surroundings in detai

All Animal Encounter pre-recorded Asynchronous programming links will be available for three consecutive school days. Other links vary from 2-3 days. Ask about weekend bookings.

Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract. Should inclement weather or other unforeseen emergency circumstances prevent the program from taking place as scheduled, we will offer the option of rescheduling. All cancellations are subject to full payment. With the exception of unforeseen circumstances, changing the date of a specific session can be made with two weeks' notice and is subject to the availability of the artist.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must be with the students at all times to assist with classroom management. They are also responsible for supervising the students before and after class, walking students to the bus or releasing students to their parents.
