Description
Amazing Adaptations is a 46-minute pre-recorded video presentation featuring 5 different LIVE Animal Ambassadors: speckled kingsnake, gold-knee tarantula, bearded dragon, Virginia opossum, and jungle carpet python! Students explore and discover the Structural and Behavioral Adaptations of each animal as we travel the globe! Each LIVE Animal Segment concludes with a Q&A Celebration of Knowledge that helps audience members engage and participate while GOING WILD for Learning! Emphasis is placed on Reading Literacy as students learn the Geography, Scientific Terminology, and Natural History of each animal. *** Animal ambassadors also help promote other school themes. Ask about Bullying Prevention, Personal Choices, and Cultural Differences! * Amazing Adaptations is the 2023 Gold Telly Award Winner!

Students Will
  • Observe and understand animal survival based on habitat, feeding habits and defense mechanisms
  • Explore countries and continents that the animals inhabit
  • Be engaged through vocabulary, word meaning, and reading for understanding
  • Develop oral language through listening, speaking and discussion
  • Obtain and process the scientific terminology and characteristics of each animal
  • Use counting, measuring, and size comparisons of each animal to solve everyday math problems

All Animal Encounter pre-recorded Asynchronous programming links will be available for three consecutive school days. Other links vary from 2-3 days. Ask about weekend bookings.

Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract. Should inclement weather or other unforeseen emergency circumstances prevent the program from taking place as scheduled, we will offer the option of rescheduling. All cancellations are subject to full payment. With the exception of unforeseen circumstances, changing the date of a specific session can be made with two weeks' notice and is subject to the availability of the artist.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must be with the students at all times to assist with classroom management. They are also responsible for supervising the students before and after class, walking students to the bus or releasing students to their parents.
