Description

How can historical Upstander role models inspire us? Through innovative storytelling in a shadow puppet theater, students will explore the lives of three American Upstanders. Each Upstander will teach students important Upstander skills and how their actions impacted many. Available Upstanders for selection are Jovita Idár, Doris (Dorie) Miller, Rosa Parks, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan, Juanita Craft, and Hector P. Garcia.

Students Will

  • Watch a shadow puppet show
  • Learn about Upstanders in history
  • Complete a worksheet as they watch
  • Be able to ask questions of the educator

Times: Available to book any time
Duration: 30-45 minutes
School Fee: Up to 40 participants: $320; 41 to 75 participants: $600; Over 75 participants, please contact group tours. Program fees are per session. Scholarships for qualified schools are available upon request.

Deadline: Please book at least 2 weeks in advance
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the tour date. Cancellations made less then two weeks prior to the tour will be billed in full.
