Description
We explore the animal kingdom, learning fascinating facts as we flow through the alphabet A-Z. Students are challenged - connecting words, movement quality, and sound - experiencing the whimsical world of creature habits and adaptations. The next time your students visit the zoo or pick up a book about their favorite furry, four-legged, slithering, hopping, flying, feathered, wiggly, toothy friends, they will observe with better understanding and new curiosities.
Students Will
Explore space using expressive movement
Create and interpret mental images to deepen understanding
Observe forces, such as how gravity affects body positioning
Investigate connections of visual art concepts to other disciplines.
Work in a group setting in cooperation with others
Follow oral directions that involve a short related sequence of actions
Imitate and synthesize life experiences in dramatic play;
