Description

This exciting introductory theatre program will provide young children a safe and nourishing environment in which to express themselves freely. They will engage in mime, theater games, improvisation and acting. They will also learn the basics of theater.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract by mail, fax, or email. Should illness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program from taking place as scheduled, Bishop Arts Theatre Center will offer the option of rescheduling or using a substitute artist. Changing dates for a program can be made only with a written agreement between Bishop Arts Theatre Center personnel and the school or site contact at least one week before the original beginning date of the workshop or program and is subject to the availability of the artist. Cancellation of the program by an educational organization or educational institute or community presenter after confirmation is subject to full payment. Please notify the Director of Education 24 hours prior to program start time via e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 214-948-0716. Same day cancellation will be subject to a cancellation fee of ½ the cost of the original programming fee. Cancellation due to testing must be notified 72-24 hours in advance and must be notified via e-mail to [email protected] If an educational organization or educational institute or community presenter fails to notify Bishop Arts Theatre of cancellation due to testing, the educational organization or educational institute or community presenter will be subject to a cancellation fee of ½ the cost of the original programming fee. Any and all cancellations must be notified via e-mail for accounting purposes once the cancellation has been submitted. Failure to do so will result in full payment of programming fees if not submitted 72 hours after the original cancellation date. EMERGENCY CANCELLATIONS: Please call the Director of Education at 214-948-0716 X 307 immediately if an emergency forces you to cancel a program on the day it is scheduled.
After School Policy: After School Policy: An on-site teacher or site coordinator must be present at all times during the workshop. Bishop Arts Theatre Center Teaching Artists will be asked to arrive at the school at least 15 minutes before the class begins. On the first day of the program, the Teaching Artist must complete an attendance form with the following information: complete name of all participants, ethnic and gender information of participants, the signature of site coordinator or site teacher contact. After each class session, the site teacher or contact must initial the sign-in sheet to confirm that our instructors fulfilled the class date. We require that an on-site teacher or site coordinator be available immediately after the class ends to escort and watch the children when they are leaving school grounds, waiting for parents/guardians to arrive, or waiting and entering a school bus. Bishop Arts Theatre Center Teaching Artists are not responsible for students after the workshop. If a Teaching Artists is unable to provide the services for programming due to illness or personal issues, Bishop Arts Theatre Center will supply a substitute for the day’s programming. If a substitute is not available, the organization will be notified at least 12-24 hours in advance and the educational organization or educational institute will not be responsible for program fees. If a Teaching Artist is late for more than half of the scheduled time associated with the programming, the educational organization or educational institute will only be responsible for ½ the cost of the programming fee for that day. Programs that are rated by session and not by the hour will be prorated for that day’s tardiness.
