Description
Five members from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra provide students with an interactive introduction to woodwind instruments. A wide range of repertoire in contrasting styles demonstrating all periods of music is performed as individual instruments are discussed and demonstrated. Students are encouraged to ask questions and interact with the musicians. Audiences for each presentation are limited to 150 in order to create an intimate, informative, and positive educational environment for students and musicians. This program is geared for grades 1-4. The Woodwind Quintet gives two, 40 minute, back to back performances. Preferred start times are at 9:30 and 10:15 a.m. Both performances are offered at a flat rate of $350.00. Students Will

  • exhibit concert etiquette as an actively involved listener during a live performance.

Technical Needs: 5 armless chairs, 5 music stands (if available), sufficient space for students to be close to artists
Other Information: For grades 1-4. All schools with Symphony YES! Ensemble performances must abide by the rules in the Symphony YES! School Agreement Form. You must return the School Agreement Form after booking in order to guarantee the performance.

Cancellation Policy: Programs and dates are subject to change. No refunds in the case of cancellations or absences. However, rescheduling is possible. Cancellations and additions must be received 2 days before the scheduled performance date.
