Description

Students put on their journalists' hats and go back to the 1960s to better understand the Civil Rights Movement in Dallas. Through primary sources, from on-site film footage to eyewitness reports, they will write their own front-page news story on the Civil Rights sit-in at the Piccadilly Cafeteria.

Students Will

  • Learn about a historical topic from a Museum expert
  • Create their own newspaper article

School Fee: Up to 40 participants: $320; 41 to 75 participants: $600; Over 75 participants, please contact group tours. Program fees are per session. Scholarships for qualified schools are available upon request.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least two weeks prior to the tour date. Cancellations made less then two weeks prior to the tour will be billed in full.
