Description
This 6 week Zumba residency will makes use of up-tempo Latin music styles such as salsa, cha-cha, reggaeton, mambo and merengue to create an enjoyable, productive workout atmosphere. Zumba aims to make exercise fun with upbeat music, a positive environment and fairly simple movements that beginners can pick up on right away. As our participant age group increases so will the complexity of the movements along with an increase in tempo. The full-body routine typically leaves participants sweating and satisfied with their workout!

Students Will
  • Learn dancing techniques from Latin America
  • Learn Spanish vocabulary
  • Learn basic Spanish vocabulary as it relates to dance and culture.
  • Learn Latin folk songs to accompany Zumba routines

Technical Needs: clean space for dancing (gym, auditorium, cafeteria)
Other Information: All students need to wear moveable clothing and shoes.

Cancellation Policy: Any cancellations must be called in (office #:214-828-0181) AND also submitted in writing (via email: [email protected] or fax #: 214-828-0101) no later than 5 business days prior to the scheduled performance or workshop.
After School Policy: For after school programs, a school representative must be on site in the case of discipline problems. After the class is finished, a school representative is responsible to make sure proper guardians pick up students.
