Description

"The Junk Eating Dragon" (Story Drama good for K-4th grades) Students will enjoy the story of Bangalee as he and his sisters and brothers protect their castle from Grunk, the dragon, by cleaning themselves and their home from top to bottom. Students will work together to form the huge body of Grunk and stomp through the kingdom breathing "fire" and eating junk, or they can be a part of the Bangalee’s clan and make everything spic and span before the dragon gets to their castle. Together, the students work with Dana on the best use of the space provided to dramatize the story as students select staging areas. At the end is a discussion about the importance of personal responsibility; specifically, taking care of ourselves, our things and the space we live in.
