Description

The Traditions of Mexico is an interactive dance class that teaches students Ballet Folklorico. The instructor will choreograph one or two dance routines (depending on time constraints and the children's capacity) and teach the children the unique history/story behind each dance. Age the age of the child increase so will the complexity of the dance steps, choreography, and expectations.

Students Will

  • Learn basic Spanish vocabulary as it relates to dance and the Mexican culture.
  • Learn specialized Ballet Folklorico dance techniques from ANMBF Professional Company dancers.
  • Engage in entertaining and challenging physical activity.
  • Learn basic Spanish vocabulary as it relates to dance and Mexican culture.

Technical Needs: A clear and clean space (wooden floor is preferred). A technical rider is provided once program is booked.
Other Information: All students need to wear moveable clothing and shoes.

Deadline: 1 week prior to workshop
Cancellation Policy: Any cancellations must be called in (office #:214-828-0181) AND also submitted in writing (via email: [email protected] or fax #: 214-828-0101) no later than 5 business days prior to the scheduled performance or workshop.
After School Policy: For after school programs, a school representative must be on site in the case of discipline problems. After the class is finished, a school representative is responsible to make sure proper guardians pick up students.
