Description
Fun, interactive field trip for students at the Winspear Opera House! ANMBF will present a dazzling show celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Through entertaining bilingual lectures and dance performances, this 50 minute show promises to make an impact on student's understanding of Cinco De Mayo! This program is enhanced through an educational packet, which includes detailed information about Folklorico dances as well as information about Mexican holidays, customs, and traditions. As the grade level of the students changes so will the material provided to the teachers in order to accommodate thier learning. ANMBF's theatrical performances are entertaining and educational for all ages!

Students Will
  • Learn through the art of dance, the effects of other cultures on the history and traditions of Mexico.
  • Visit the Winspear Opera House with incredible acoustics and excellent sightlines, which provides an audience experience second to none.
  • Explore the rich culture and traditions of Mexico
  • Receive information and activities prior to performance in order to enhance the learning experience for the students.
  • Educational Package is full of lessons and activities to share with students before and after the performance.
  • Complete material provided in the teacher packet that has activities drawn from books such as "De Colores" and "Diez Deditos."

Other Information: Performance at Winspear Opera House located at 2403 Flora Street, Dallas, TX 75201. Schools will be financially responsible for the reserved number of seats regardless if the total number of students come to the show. Schools are responsible for buses and if buses do not show or are late, schools are still financially responsible for the reserved seats. No cancellations after the one-week deadline.

Cancellation Policy: Any cancellations must be called in (office #:214-828-0181) AND also submitted in writing (via email: [email protected] or fax #: 214-828-0101) no later than 5 business days prior to the scheduled performance or workshop.
After School Policy: For after school programs, a school representative must be on site in the case of discipline problems. After the class is finished, a school representative is responsible to make sure proper guardians pick up students.
