Description

Yoga Celebrates Nature while teaching students to appreciate and abide with the earth’s wonderments - plant and animal. Participants, feeling supported by the process, reach forward - stretching into the fierce confidence of lion pose, sway gently with the breeze in balancing tree pose, and hone quiet-focus in warrior pose. They BREATHE, acknowledge, connect, and grow powerful awareness of self and others. They BREATHE, identify challenges, consider options, and implement solutions. Yoga builds Vocabulary, while supporting Emotional Literacy and Physical-Mental Wellness. It provides the perfect platform for addressing self-image, peer pressure, and life skills needed to succeed.

Students Will

  • Create and interpret mental images to deepen understanding
  • Make predictions based on observable patterns
  • Observe forces, such as how gravity affects body positioning
  • Explore space using expressive movement
