Description

Anne was a young student much like you, with dreams and fears, spending her time going to school, playing, and making friends. She began writing her thoughts in her diary at age twelve., and continued writing after she and her family went into hiding. Hear Anne's story in picture book form and discuss how her diary is one reminder of how each of us is an individual desiring and deserving justice as well as the opportunity to live our lives freely. Then, students will make their own handmade diaries to tell their own stories.

Students Will

  • Hear the true story of Anne Frank
  • Discuss how we can experience other people's lives and thoughts by reading diaries, and biographies
  • Share their stories with other students
  • Tell their own personal stories by creating handmade diaries with illustrations
