Description

Join over 1,200 schools and 350,000 students who have taken an exciting musical journey with Mr. Blue Shoes. A fun and effective music assembly program that inspires and educates about Language Arts and Mathematics using music. Michael Dyson a.k.a Mr. Blue Shoes, a Grammy Award winning musician, will leave your students in a trance with his soulful voice and guitar prowess. His performance leads students on an exciting journey through America’s most important musical art form, the Blues. Through songs, dance, storytelling, and humor, Mr. Blue Shoes stays true to the art form while providing an unforgettable learning experience that extends far beyond the textbook. "The presentation was, hands down, the most effective and engaging presentation I have witnessed in 25 years of teaching!" - Keith Hoffman, Music Specialist, Frank Guzick Elementary, Dallas ISD "Teachers did not mind giving up the instructional time because the program was full of so much curriculum! Understanding this magical genre of music is EQUAL to learning American history, Math, Music and Language Arts! The level of student participation during the program was HIGH! So many times, kids are asked to just sit and watch a presentation. This was NOT the case." - Julie Buelle, Mockingbird Elementary, Dallas ISD
