Description
In this 4 hour long,* Audubon instructor-led program, students explore the three ecosystems unique to Trinity River Audubon Center: Bottomland Hardwood Forest, Blackland Prairie, and the Trinity River. Students will use their senses to discover the world around them, meet an animal up close, and learn about pond life. Programs are hands-on and include both indoor and outdoor components. To encourage extension and family engagement, all participating students earn a FREE FAMILY PASS, valid for one return visit. *Program length has some flexibility built-in to accommodate bus/travel schedules.

Students Will
  • recognize the differences between living organisms and non-living objects
  • use senses to make observations about surroundings on a hike through the prairie, forest, and to the river
  • meet Texas native animals

School Fee: $8.25 per student, 1 Adult free for every 7 Students; Additional Adults $6

Deadline: Two weeks advance notice
Cancellation Policy: All notices of cancellation, reschedule request, and changes in number of students attending must be reported to the Trinity River Audubon Center ten business days in advance of the scheduled visit. Schools will be charged the full program fee if they fail to provide adequate notification of cancellation or rescheduling.
