Standards
Description
Students will create artwork inspired by the artistic traditions of Mexico, pre-Hispanic art, Mexico's colonial period, and popular art that has existed for centuries in small towns throughout Mexico. They will identify cultural ideas expressed in artworks relating to social, political, and environmental themes. This class will be taught in-person over two (2) one-hour (1hr) sessions on campus with a teaching artist.

Cancellation Policy:
All residencies and touring performances can be rescheduled with Cara Mía 1 week prior to class start date. However, in the case that a workshop or residency cannot be rescheduled, it can be canceled up to a week (seven days) before the agreed start date. After a week from the start date, Cara Mía requires half of the payment for the workshop or residency in the case of a cancellation. After the start date, Cara Mía requires full payment for the touring workshop or residency. Touring shows can be canceled a week (seven days) before performance. After a week before performance date, Cara Mía requires full payment for a cancellation. Field trip performances to Cara Mía shows are non-refundable regardless of circumstances such as bad weather, difficulty with transportation or scheduling difficulties.
