Description
Responsible decision-making is our ability to make positive choices that are honorable, kind, safe, and realistic. When we make a decision responsibly, we consider how what we do will affect ourselves and others. We also consider and evaluate different paths to accomplish our goals. Responsible decision-making makes our community stronger because it results in better solutions that are more equitable. In this workshop, students will learn about an immigrant family’s journey to reach safety and evaluate the decisions made along the way. Students will then write about a personal decision they have made and create and a concept map of the considerations they used to make that decision. Finally, students will share their stories and concept maps.
