Description
Math Chefs is where students connect mathematics with cooking as they focus on mathematical objectives such as measurements, operations, reasoning, comparison/contrast, sequencing, geometry, graphs, processes, relationships, patterns, probability, and other mathematical tools while in the kitchen. The program includes fun culinary demonstrations, a hosted Prezi presentation, and informative worksheets such as crosswords and word searches. Math Chefs helps students develop an interest in math by applying math skills and observing results. During all of our hybrid virtual programs, students can type in questions for us to answer, which makes the programs interactive. Students always have tons of questions about food and cooking! Multiple classes and grades can be involved at one time. This program can be custom-made to the specifications requested by the educators.
Students Will
Understand temperature, how it's measured, how it affects every day life, and it's importance in cooking
