Description

Colorful suitcases and bags of puppets, number lines and tape measures arrive in your classroom when Mrs. Pockets comes to visit. Then it's POHO time (Puppets On-Hands On). Students become actor puppeteers in an interactive program full of movement, fun and laughter. Lynn does not miss a beat keeping the room full of fun and excitement. The program can be math centered or literature centered and content is adapted to age level. This highly flexible program builds literacy skills while encouraging impromptu speaking and presentation skills. Lynn is a former Math and English teacher and brings vast experiences as a song writer, drama teacher, puppeteer, edutainer and artist. Everyone loves this memorable, dynamic, inspiring experience. After school performances also available. Program can be adapted for special ed students.

Students Will

  • use puppets to improve hand-eye co-ordination and verbal skills.

Details

Dates: Monday - Friday
Times: 8am - 3.15pm
Duration: In school: two 45 minute back-to-back performances. Afterschool: one 75 minute performance.
School Fee: $200.00 for 2 back-to-back performances required. 90 per performance - total 180 students
Minimum Attendance: 15
Maximum Attendance: 90
Bilingual: No
Technical Needs: Large room with space to move around. Auditorum, cafeteria, library, or music room ideal.

Scheduling / Booking

Instructions: Please email [email protected] to schedule a program at least two weeks before the program date. Confirmed when you receive your contract via email. Please call Lynn to discuss program contents - math, literature or both: 972 733 0596. Lynn will confirm that she is coming at least one week before the program's scheduled date.
Deadline: Two weeks prior to program date.
Cancellation Policy: Should illness, inclement weather or other unforseen circumstances take place, Lynn offers the option of re-scheduling. Full payment required if program is canceled on the day of the program.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must remain with class at all times. Preferable if teacher participates in the program.
