Camp Fire believes that every child has inherent strengths that should be discovered, shaped and shared with the world. Camp Fire incorporates its research and evidence-based Thriving Framework into afterschool programming. This approach highlights the importance for youth in finding inner motivational passions, or “Sparks”, that catalyze their personal growth. Youth learn how their brains process information, and come to understand that, like a muscle, the brain grows stronger with challenge. They learn to call on inner reserves for greater effort, how to develop strategies and to seek help as they respond to a challenge. These are essential skills for managing and reaching life goals.

Out of School Time - Camp Fire Out-of-School-Time programs provide youth with so much more than simply a place to go before and after school while parents work. When Camp Fire partners with your school, students have the opportunity to work with trained, caring adults who can help them with their school work, teach them about health and wellness, keep them active, engage them in community service projects, or provide mentoring regarding challenges youth face today. Our programs are uniquely focused to help youth thrive.
Teen Service & Leadership - Youth, especially teens, want to shape the world! Teens who actively engage in community service and take on leadership roles at school and in their communities make a real difference and contribute to a better world. Camp Fire guides teens through impactful community service and leadership experiences.
Camp Fire’s Teen Service and Leadership Programs provide a variety of opportunities to help teens develop as effective and engaged citizens, now.
Camp & Outdoor Education - Camp Fire Camp and Environmental programs immerse participants in nature to learn, explore, and grow together while developing a lifelong respect for the outdoors. We believe in the power of nature to awaken the senses and the desire to learn.
The Camp Fire mission is a promise, written as a commitment to the youth we serve. Youth and their parents around the country told us what they needed and how they wanted those needs met. We promised to do everything we can to create the present AND the future they seek.
