Participants will learn the significant role of the Griot/Storyteller to the family,community and cultures.Participants will be actively involved with listening, telling the story with simple phases,acting out various characters(costumes).Music with instruments from various cultures,simple songs,poetry,dance and circle/partner/ring games. This program will encourage and enhance self esteem,confidence,pride and community awareness. A residency will end with a public performance. Parents are invited and encouraged to volunteer.

Cancellation Policy: Should illness, inclement weather or other unforseen circumstances take place Melody offers the option of rescheduling. Full payment required if program is canceled on the day of program.
After School Policy A teacher/employee must remain with class at all times. Preferable if teacher participates in the program.
